Stephen Love
Stephen C. Love, a certified public accountant and shareholder of Love, Cody & Company, CPAs, P.C., has been serving clients in Southern Vermont and Albany, New York since his relocation from Philadelphia in 1987. He has primary responsibility for administration of Love, Cody & Company's audit and accounting practice and the related system of quality control.
Before joining Love, Cody & Company, CPAs, P.C., Steve was a senior manager in the audit department of KPMG's Albany office. His professional experience includes providing audit and consulting services to governments, nonprofit organizations and commercial entities.
Steve has strong technical knowledge in accounting and auditing standards. He has served two three-year appointments to the Executive Committee of New England Peer Review. He has extensive experience as a peer reviewer of other CPA practices.
Steve is licensed as a certified public accountant in Vermont, New York and Massachusetts. He is an active member and past president of the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He currently serves as president of the Bennington Area Chamber of Commerce, and is an active member and past president of the Bennington Catamount Rotary Club.
Frank Cody
Frank J. Cody, is a certified public accountant and Principal at Love, Cody & Company, CPAs He is the director of Tax Services for the firm. His professional experience includes taxation and accounting for individuals, estates, trusts and businesses. Before joining Love, Cody & Company, CPAs, Frank was a senior tax associate with an international accounting firm in Albany, New York. Previously, he was associated with CPA firms and a real estate management company in Denver, Colorado.
Frank is licensed as a certified public accountant in Vermont. Frank holds a Master of Taxation from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint Joseph's College of Maine. Frank has served as an adjunct faculty member teaching accounting and taxation courses at Southern Vermont College. Frank is a member of the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Frank is currently a board member of the Bennington Catamount Rotary Charities, Inc . Frank is also a competent Toastmaster and actively involved in Bennington Youth Sports.
Laura Nesbit
Laura A. Nesbit, a certified public accountant and audit manager at Love, Cody & Company, CPAs, has been serving clients in the southern Vermont area since 1995. Her professional experience includes auditing and taxation. Before joining Love, Cody & Company, CPAs, Laura was associated with a local bank.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Vermont, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts formerly known as North Adams State College. Laura is licensed as a certified public accountant in Vermont and is a member of the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Laura serves on the finance committee of a local parish, Sacred Heart and Saint Francis De Sales . Laura enjoys running during her free time.
Jeanette Burhans
Jeanette Burhans is a certified public accountant and a Tax Supervisor at Love, Cody & Company, CPAs. Her professional experience includes overseeing some of the firm's individual, corporate and non-profit tax and accounting engagements. Jeanette is also involved in various audits and financial statement engagements. She holds a B.A. from Russell Sage College and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in taxation. Jeanette has been employed with Love Cody & Company since 1999. Previously, she was associated with a local college in the development office.
Jeanette currently serves as the treasurer for the Bennington Marauders swim team. She is also a member of the AICPA and the VSCPA.
Timothy Lefevre
Timothy D. Lefevre is a certified public accountant and audit supervisor with Love, Cody & Company, CPAs. In addition to overseeing some of the firm's municipal, corporate, and non-profit audits, he is involved in various other business and tax service engagements. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in accounting and finance from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. He worked for a public accounting firm in Western Massachusetts before moving to Southern Vermont in 2003.
Tim serves as the treasurer of Bennington Young Professionals, Inc. and is on the board of directors of the Bennington Rotary Club. He is also committed to professional development as a member of the AICPA and VSCPA.
Justin Kinney
Justin D. Kinney is a staff accountant at Love, Cody & Company, CPAs. He is involved in various business activities including assisting with audit and taxation engagements. Justin joined the firm in August of 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts where he graduated summa cum laude. Prior to joining the firm, Justin was employed at a local business working in their accounting department.
During his free time Justin volunteers as a member of the Bennington Village Fire Department.
Marie Mason
Marie B. Mason is office administrator and is staff accountant for Love, Cody & Company, CPAs as well as several of their clients. Marie holds an associates degree in accounting from St. Joseph's College.
Prior to being employed by Love, Cody & Company in 1997, Marie was a bookkeeper for a local health care facility. Marie enjoys working with and helping local business and individuals with their accounting needs and their bookkeeping software training.
Rose Zappone
Rose Zappone has been the Administrative Assistant for Love, Cody & Company, CPAs, P.C. since 1991. Prior to her joining the firm she worked in another certified public accounting firm for three years. Rose enjoys her job as Administrative Assistant, willing to help anyone to get the job done.
Rose lives in Pownal, Vermont with her husband, three children and family dog "Otis". She enjoys spending time with her family and going camping.
Mary Ann Jablonsky
Mary Ann is an Administrative Assistant for our firm. She handles reception, scheduling and front desk area for our firm as well as assisting in tax return and audit processing, client mailings and a number of other administrative tasks.
Mary Ann resides in Pownal with her husband Pete. She enjoys gardening, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Andre Sourdiffe
As Technical Consultant for FRL Computer Services, Andre Sourdiffe has primary responsibility for delivery of network support and computer maintenance services. He is Novell Certified Network Engineer (CNE) for Netware 6 and 6.5 and an A+ Certified hardware technician.
Andre manages the firm's computer network. He has established cost effective remote network access capabilities for our system, implemented web based file transfer to facilitate the transfer of data files from our clients. He recently migrated our system over to a Windows server. He has also installed the Kerio mail server to handle email and spam filtering.
During the three years immediately preceding his joining our firm, Andre was employed by a computer consulting enterprise located in Clifton Park, NY.
